The American public supports immigration, survey finds

In several surveys such as the American Values Survey and other national polls conducted in 2021, there is evidence of a favorable trend in American opinion regarding immigration, considering that:

• In one of the surveys that included Democratic, Republican and Independent citizens, “a plurality of 41 percent of Americans says illegal immigrants currently working in the United States should be allowed to stay in their jobs and apply for US citizenship“.
