Meet The Team
Adil S. Qaiyumi, Esq. Attorney, Partner
Adil Qaiyumi has worked in the field of immigration law since 2007 and has practiced in Maryland since 2010. Mr. Qaiyumi obtained his law degree from The University of Baltimore and his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he majored in Business. While in law school, he spent three months in Madrid, Spain studying laws of the European Union and International Commercial law.
Mireya Martinez, Esq. Attorney, Of Counsel
Attorney Mireya Martinez, hailing from an immigrant family herself, brings deep empathy and understanding to her practice. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mireya experienced firsthand the economic hardships that drove her family to seek a better life in the United States. Despite facing the challenges of being first-generation immigrants, Mireya's determination propelled her to earn a Juris-Doctorate degree from the George Washington University School of Law. During her time at law school, Mireya excelled as the president of the Hispanic Law Student Association and held leadership roles within the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA).
Since graduation, Mireya has dedicated herself to serving the immigrant community in the DC area, specializing in family and employment-based immigration cases. With a focus on navigating complex immigration laws, she has become a trusted advocate for Spanish-speaking immigrants nationwide. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, Mireya's expertise extends beyond the District of Columbia, making her a valuable resource for immigrants across the country.
Beyond her legal practice, Mireya resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and four children. She is passionate about inspiring and educating others through her professional endeavors, embodying the values of hard work, determination, and compassion that define her journey.
Nadin Elias, Esq. Attorney
Attorney Nadin Elias obtained her law degree at University of Baltimore School of Law. Her interest in Immigration Law stems her own experience as a refugee and from her experience as a student attorney for the Immigration Rights Clinic at University of Baltimore School of Law.
Since graduation, she has gained extensive experience in a wide range of immigration cases, which encompasses both removal defense and petitions with USCIS. Nadin specializes in all aspects of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, in addition, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Convention Against Torture, Cancellation of Removal, Family Based Petitions, Consular Processing, U Visa, and VAWA.
Nadin is barred in Maryland and Virginia.
Melvin Jarrett, Esq. Attorney
Attorney Melvin Jarrett graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2002. With a concentration in litigation from law school, Jarrett has advocated for immigrant rights in state court and federal court assisting clients fight for their right. He has built his legal career representing immigration clients in every state in the union and from many countries around world.
Melvin supports non-profits in the District of Columbia and across the country such as the Immigrant Justice Campaign, KIND (Kids In Need of Defense) and Renaissance Center for Culture and Education providing know your rights workshops to educate immigrants about their rights in the United States. He provides representation for those incarcerated and helps immigrants navigate complex immigration laws to find a legal pathway to citizenship for those seeking a better life.

Nyree Adams, Esq. Attorney
Attorney Nyree Adams desire to work with families and children began with her undergraduate studies in Social Work at the University of California at Berkeley. After college she worked with at risk juveniles and families.
After graduating law school Nyree starting working with Children in Need of Assistance (CINA), representing children, parents and the Department of Social Services in child custody cases.
Attorney Adams works with her clients with compassion to assist them with understanding the complexities of the family judicial system.

Claire Esquivel
Legal Operations Manager
Claire holds a graduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and holds a undergraduate degree in Paralegal Studies from Indian River State College from her hometown in Florida. She has interned at the Public Defender's office where her aspirations to become an attorney grew. Claire is studying to become an immigration attorney and help immigrants across the US to achieve their immigration needs. She has experience as an immigration paralegal and enjoys helping to ease the stress of clients through managing their immigration process.
Margarita Morales
Client Care / Legal Assistant
Margarita studied journalism at the University of El Salvador. In 2013 Margarita emigrated to the United States. She is currently studying Criminal Justice and has five years experience in customer service. She has participated in pro women rights and gender equality in El Salvador. Margarita enjoys helping her community and has found a passion for helping immigrants. As an immigrant, she knows the challenges immigrants face on a day to day basis. Being part of Motion Law has enabled Margarita to become closer to her community and their immigration issues.
Andrew Haywood
President
Andrew Haywood is a business entrepreneur who has owned and managed a number of successful businesses both in the US and his native UK. As a holder of British and American Citizenship , Andrew has lived in the US since 2010 and has worked in the field of Immigration Law for a number of years. A passionate advocate of "client care", with a strong eye for detail, Andrew's success in business has been consistently founded upon the focused promotion and effective delivery of exceptionally high standards of customer service to all clients of his business operations.
