New USCIS Services for Spanish Speakers

New USCIS interactive system for Spanish speakers. Get the right help!

The USCIS Contact Center offers more options now

The US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is the entity that receives, reviews, and responds to all immigration applications.

This agency is responsible for approving or rejecting requests for entry and / or residence in the US.

Over the last years, large numbers of Spanish-speaking immigrants have followed the immigration processes established by USCIS.

However, they do not have as many options to communicate in their mother tongue, which is Spanish, while filing their immigration cases.

Therefore, USCIS decided to implement an Interactive Voice System in Spanish.

These new options offered by the USCIS Contact Center will be implemented gradually to test their effectiveness first.

Every time the applicant’s attorney calls the Contact Center, he/she will be able to hear all of the available options in Spanish.

In addition to that, USCIS implemented new and more sophisticated technology for its interactive voice response telephone system (IVR):

  • The caller can verbally answer and speak to the system without using the keypad to choose the available options.
  • The USCIS voice system has the ability to send links containing specific forms by email or text message.
If you need more information about the necessary forms for your immigration case, Motion Law Immigration’s specialized attorneys can help you.
  • If the caller wants to leave a comment or feedback about the USCIS voice system, there is an optional survey that can be answered verbally as well.

USCIS offices reopen soon

Besides the new USCIS Spanish-speaking system, face-to-face services will resume normal operation as of June 2020.

These face-to-face services have been suspended for more than two months due to the current health crisis.

Therefore, it is the right time to present a solid immigration case and avoid possible rejection by USCIS.
